NORTHERN PIKE caught on the FLY for the FIRST TIME!

The sudden strike!
The fish races by with the fly's single hook holding it firm.
Splashing on the surface, soon to be released to swim away.

Favell Bay area has a lot of wonderful scenery, I've painted several different views of the area over the past few years.

The wonderful odd shaped pine tree reminds me of a palm tree. Very inspiring.

This is the final acrylic painting. Titled ; "Summer Favell Bay".
The sunny cloud filled sky was nicely reflected in the water.
The sheltered bay area isfilled with a variety of fish including the odd muskie.
Vermilion Bay Lodge is a short 5 minute boat ride from this scenic location.
