Stuck nLike a Pike on the cover of HOOKED Magazine

 ARTWORK COPYRIGHT Charles Weiss 2014

My exciting dramatic and colourful painting titled "Stuck like a Pike" was published as cover art
for the 2014 winter issue of Hooked Magazine. This was my creative design of the action filled moment above and below the ice when a large Northern Pike has made a surprise bite. Kevin Stobbe the publisher showed great support by showing 4 full colour pages of my art inside this magazine.

Cadillac Lounge/ Neon, Snow Queen Street West

ARTWORK COPYRIGHT Charles Weiss 2014

This is a painting I created by painting over a partrait of a nude women. The colours in the previous painting had a similar hues as the photograph reference of my "Cadillac Lounge in the Winter ".

The bright neon saturated colour at night was what I was trying to express.
The vivid Cadmium Red and Hooker Green.

Splattering the spray off a large bristle brush  of a mixture of Titanium White, Red and yellow.

The final effect of snow flurries falling on the sidewalk in front of the Cadillac Lounge.
